DangerJudy > Interior of cave - where we stopped, actually. Past the death rock balanced behind Randy's left the stream passage continues, but is tight and wet. Note the pipistrelle bat wintering in the cave. There were several of these bats; also tons of cave crickets and spiders.
DangerJudy > Another shot - we took perhaps 20 minutest to get to this room where we routed. Attaplex cave was surveyed to around 400 ft.
DangerJudy > Me, muddy , just out of Attaplex cave. It was 29 degrees outside! Wearing both kayaking and caving gear in order to stay warm, I have on a Mountain Surf vest, an IR thick skin shirt, B&C Wunderwear ballistic nylon caving bibs, these wellington boots from Walmart that are not really suited to cave in, a NRS head heater and kneepads made by a person in B'ham grotto who sews gear.
